Feminine: -ой/-ей and -ою/-ею
The shorter forms dominate neutral modern prose; the longer variants are grammatical but stylistically marked or rhythmically motivated.
- True-soft adjectives use -ей/-ею. Transparent hard and spelling-rule families use -ой/-ою as their paradigm dictates.
