Time, duration, and accusative prepositions

Accusative singular also appears in common temporal and prepositional frames.

  • Some time nouns remain unchanged because their accusative equals nominative: ка́ждый день. Feminine forms expose the case: всю неде́лю.
  • Case does not equal one English preposition: Russian про and о both express topic but govern different cases: про кни́гу (accusative), о кни́ге (prepositional).
