Endings do not classify every stem change
Treat Type I as an ending class while learning unpredictable stem shapes lexically.
Читаю, несу, пишу, and рисую have different stem histories, but their ты/он/мы/вы forms use the same Type I ending family.
- Conjugation class and stem formation answer different questions.
- For a non-transparent verb, learn infinitive, я, ты, and они forms together.
- Productive and unproductive stem classes are advanced analysis, not a beginner guessing tool.
Mini-check
Which learning set is safest for a non-transparent Type I verb?
Advanced pattern
Grammar references may divide Type I verbs into more detailed productive and unproductive classes. This module does not turn those into beginner production rules.
