Case government and direct objects
Learn a reflexive verb together with the complement pattern it permits.
A reflexive verb often cannot take the same accusative object as its non-reflexive counterpart. Other reflexive verbs govern instrumental or prepositional complements.
- открывать дверь → дверь открывается
- заниматься музыкой: instrumental
- пользоваться словарём: instrumental
